Pump Performance Curves Hydro Pump Series
How to select the right pump...
It's important to know 2 things (1) the height to which you want to pump water and (2) the volume of water in litres per hour you want to flow around the circuit. For help in understanding these terms please see this pump selection page and then come back to these graphs to decide the ideal pump for your application.
The Graphs below:
The first graph shows the performance detail for all pumps in the Hydro range. The graphs following this one show performance information in greater detail for each of the Hydro pumps in the range. To enlarge the image please click the small image. The model number reflects the approximate maximum flow so the bigger the number the more powerful is the pump.

| Ideally when choosing the pump
select the head versus flow rate inside the shaded region (shows the
optimum operating points for all flow and head combinations). This will
give you the best performance for that model. These performance curves also relate to the same fountain pump models with 1.8 metres of cable that are used indoors. 1.8 metre cable pumps are NOT certified for outdoor use because of safety factors involved in joining outdoor cables in presence of water. |
