Add a Splash & A Sparkle to Your Pond This Year with a Fountain Jet
How to Choose the Right Nozzle and Pump
When choosing a nozzle the final effect will depend upon the pump used. In general the higher the outlet pressure form the pump the higher and wider the fountain will be. Normal submersible pond pumps with a capacity of between 1000 and 4000 litres per hour will power these nozzles.
There are 4 main nozzle types... Calyx, Lava (or Bell), foam jet and tiered Vulkan jets.

The diameter of the fountain effect if on importance when placing into a water feature where the diameter is on the smaller side since the wind effect will tend to blow water out of the water feature. Flow can be adjusted on some of the models.
These models are all 1/2" fittings.
The table below shows the range of diameter of jet effect based upon the type of pump used in the fountain system.

Not only do these fountain jets add another dimension to pond keeping they behave as oxygenators. The fine jets of water easily absorb oxygen from the atmosphere replacing that consumed by fish and biofilter bacteria.
